Think back on a time when you felt deep feelings of joy. Engage your past memory faculty to the first time you felt passionate about what you were doing, where you were and who you were with. Jot it down on paper, keeping track of all the moments throughout your life when you actually felt happy and special. Perhaps you were singing or dancing, drawing or painting, running or jumping, laughing or being funny... The list can go on and on.
Now, do your best to remember a time when you have been in the presence of another's joy and the joy it created for you by simply witnessing them. If you can't think of anything, it's time for you to start creating and witnessing this joy that is always all around you. Be conscious of those around you today, the cashier at the grocery store, the taxi driver, a co-worker, a friend or family member. Tune into their happiness and its more than ok to let them know you recognize them in that state of JOY.
Love yourself to and through your joy... Once you find it, spend more and more time there.
Love,
