My companies are recognizing this day and we will be on technical support only as it needs to be a day of reflection as we all work together to assure the indigenous peoples of Canada receive the appropriate reconciliation and reparation required for healing and accountability!  I have a very hard time understanding why there has been little to no action to solve the long term issues facing the First Nations of our country. 

There is an election on September 20th, 2021.  So which party is more likely to follow through on the appropriate action?  It's hard to say.  I am not going to rehash this ugly history but instead ask you to do your homework and then look at each party's overall platform for change and how it relates to the Canadian Indigenous people.  My hope is for a minority government so we have a coalition that requires the parties to work together for sustainable solutions which must put the First Nation's resolutions as a priority.

We as a nation as every nation in the world have had our lives turned upside down by the pandemic but that is nothing in comparison to the continual deplorable treatment of the Indigenous people of this land.  It has to stop so lets make sure our election results reflect our command for real change.
